Sonya Thomas won the first of nine Krystal Square Off qualifiers today in Chattanooga, TN by downing 51 of the classic burgers in just eight minutes.
Thomas was unhurried in her attempt to qualify for KSO IV. In second place was a local man who downed 24 Krystals.
The Krystal Square Off World Hamburger Eating Championship is the only sanctioned hamburger eating contest in the world. The reigning champ is Takeru Kobayashi who has downed 97 Krystals in eight minutes.
