On October 27th, the world’s hungriest competitive eaters gathered for the first-ever NARUTO™ Clash of Ninja™ Revolution World Ramen Noodle Eating Championship, the culmination of a multi-faceted launch event for the new Wii™ video game. Major League Eating initiated a mandatory chopsticks rule for the competition, in keeping with the traditional method of consuming ramen.
Eater X ate 10.5 lbs of noodles in the 10 minute event to take the title. Wing Kong placed second with 7.2 lbs. Arturo was 3rd with 6.64 lbs...Shredder was close behind. Steakbellie wore a kilt and Pretty Boy Davekos did a handstand for the hundreds gathered at Rock Center for the event.

The contest was the cornerstone of an entire day’s worth of activities surrounding the launch of the most exhilarating fighting game yet for the Wii™ home video game system: NARUTO: Clash of Ninja Revolution from TOMY and D3Publisher of America. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Nintendo World® Store in New York’s Rockefeller Center was filled with gaming stations and collectible card game areas. The first 1500 fans to arrive wearing a NARUTO headband received an exclusive free gift. Also involved were card games, Q&A sessions, mini-tournaments with prizes, and a raffle for a one-of-a kind NARUTO DS!
