Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest

Location: Queens, NY
Date: 06-20-2009
Winner: Eric "Badlands" Booker

Facing a much improved Pat Philbin and ever-improving Nasty Nate, Badlands Booker put down 40 Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs and Buns to win the qualifier at the new home of the New York Mets.

Despite the rainy weather, each of these men posted personal bests. In second place was Pat from Moonachie who ate 32 HDBs and in third was Nasty Nate who ate 25 HDBs. Yasir Salem had a good go until the very end when the levee broke.

Badlands advances to July 4th. There's just one more regular season qualifier set to occur in Northern California on the 27th. There will also be a cops vs. firefighters event in Coney Island on the 27th, preceded by a grueling Bunnette Boot Camp.
