A $10,000 -- yes TEN THOUSAND -- prize purse will be up for grabs as the world's best eaters take in Wild Carp Week with an MLE-sized portion of salt potatoes by their sides.

What is a salt potato, you ask? It's a young potato that is boiled in an extra-salty water to form a crust on the skin sealing in the delicious flavor of the potato while creating a creamy texture. Salt potatoes are a regional delicacy of the Syracuse area. The world will soon be very familiar with salt potatoes after Wild Carp Week serves em' up!!
