National Sweet Corn Eating Championship

Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Date: 04-29-2012
Winner: Crazy Legs Conti

At last year's Sweet Corn Fiesta veteran Major League Eater Crazy Legs Conti stepped back into the winner's circle for the first time since 2007 after eating 33.5 ears of corn in 12 minutes. Conti, who many claim is in the twilight of his career, proved once again why the National Sweet Corn Eating Championship is among the most technical contests on the MLE circuit.

The world's best will put their skills to the test in West Palm Beach on Sunday, April 29th when the National Sweet Corn Eating Championship returns to Sweet Corn Fiesta along with its $4,000 cash purse.

World #5-ranked Bob "Notorious B.O.B." Shoudt made his sweet corn debut in 2011, coming up just an ear shy of Crazy Legs Conti to finish in 2nd place. Will the B.O.B. take what he learned and refocus his efforts on this year's championship? Will Crazy Legs be back to defend his title? Will a newcomer emerge to shock the world? We'll all find out on April 29th as the final chapter of MLE's Veggie Weekend 2012 writes itself at Sweet Corn Fiesta.

PRIZE PAYOUTS 1st-$2,000 2nd-$1,500 3rd-$500
