Which is exactly what the greatest eaters in the world will be doing at the Katz's Delicatessen World Pastrami Eating Championship, to be held on NYC's Lower East Side as part of the DayLife Festival celebrating Katz's Delicatessen's 125th Anniversary.
This 10-minute all-you-can-eat contest pits the greatest pastrami sandwich in the world again the best eaters in the world. It is a battle for the ages. Compete! Witness history! Be there—don't you ever miss it!
This contest will take place at 2pm Eastern, on Sunday June 2, 2013 at the DayLife Festival celebrating Katz's Delicatessen's 125th Anniversary, on Orchard St. between E. Houston St. and Delancey St., in NYC, NY!

The DayLife Festival is a free three-block special event that covers Orchard Street in astroturf and pushcarts, and includes the best in the Lower East Side food and fashion vendors.
The DayLife Festival will celebrate Katz’s 125th Anniversary by showcasing period-inspired musical acts, reflecting the days of 1888 when Katz’s first opened their doors.
Major League Eating will present the Katz's Delicatessen World Pastrami Eating Championship featuring Katz’s iconic dish. After consuming pounds of pastrami, the inaugural winner will be crowned and featured for photo ops on a satellite stage situated within Katz’s Delicatessen where the celebration will continue throughout the day and into the night.
