The Eastern Shore Wing War Sponsored By Mountaire Farms

Location: Salisbury, MD
Date: 05-11-2014
Winner: Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, with 220 wings in 12 minutes!

CHESTNUT SLAYS THE COMPETITION WITH 220 WINGS IN 12 MINUTES FOR THE WIN!

As Bill Parcells put it so well all those years ago, "You are what your record says you are." No ifs. No buts. No shoula, coulda, would. Cold, hard facts, please.

So let's review the results before we review the tape, shall we. And the results are unequivocal. Which means they don't quiver. They say: Chestnut, Chestnut, Chestnut, then other people. At the The Eastern Shore Wing War Sponsored By Mountaire Farms in Salisbury, MD, on this perfect Mother's Day, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut ate 220 wings in 12 minutes. That was 34 wings ahead of his next-closest rival, the ever-handsome Adrian "The Rabbit" Morgan, of New Orleans, LA. Thirty-four wings, and yet they are both human and both have teeth and mouths, just like you or I. Incredible.

How does he do it? Part genetics, part science, all will. He will not lose, he does not lose. Except occasionally. But these moments are aberrations. The chaos amid the order that permits the universe to turn. And turn it does. To his beat. His unrelenting beat. Like a metronome. Or the march of soldiers. Or the tick, tick, tick of time herself.

Full results below. Nice work, MLE Eaters.
