STONIE SETS WORLD PORK ROLL EATING RECORD!
He came, he saw, he ate and he conquered. Matt Stonie's unbeaten 2015 continued at The Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment World Pork Roll-Eating Championship, as the #2-ranked eater in the world dispatched pork roll sandwich after pork roll sandwich to handle his opposition with relative ease. This event saw the debut of the Pork Roll at the MLE competition table.
Pork Roll is a pre-lunch New Jersey staple, typically served grilled on a roll. After all, why would you eat granola for breakfast when you can eat Pork Roll? Delicious, delicious Pork Roll. Major League Eaters who were unfamiliar with this Garden State delicacy swooned with delight upon their first bite, which probably threw them off their rhythm.
Stonie lead throughout the contest and used his trademark starting speed to set a gap that the pack simply could not close. The Megatoad once again made his statement: I am here and I am no pretender to the crown.
The remainder of the 2015 MLE season will see battles between Stonie ands nemesis Joey Chestnut. By year's end, we will know just who is the one true king.
