Bad news for Case's Pork Roll sandwiches. Good news for everything and everyone else. That is because Major League Eating is proud to announce the return of The Trenton Thunder World Famous Case's Pork Roll Eating Championship to our 2017 slate of sanctioned events. Major League Eaters are warmly encouraged to sign up for the opportunity to compete in this annual celebration of the Garden State's signature sandwich.

At the 2016 event, Joey Chestnut ate a World Record 43 Case's Pork Roll sandwiches in 10 minutes. In doing so, he bested his 2015 mark of 32 by a staggering 34 percent. Chestnut will return to Trenton in 2017 to again attempt to beat his former self an the competition.

Chestnut's 2016 haul of 43 was no doubt in answer to Carmen Cincotti's total of 40 Case's Pork Roll sandwiches in 10 minutes. Geoffrey Esper continued his impressive 2016 with 31 Case's Pork Roll sandwiches in 10 minutes to finish in the third place. The 2017 event will again showcase the finest MLE eating talent doing what they do so very well.
