As tradition dictates, the finest eaters in the world will once more congregate at the spiritual home of competitive Poutine Eating—Yonge-Dundas Square in beautiful downtown Toronto, Ontario, where people are polite and friendly and seem contended with their lives. Must be all the Smoke’s Poutinerie Poutine they eat. And well they should—this stuff is delicious.
For those who have been living on the wrong side of planet Xenon, Poutine is the heavenly trio of fries, cheese curds and gravy. And Smoke’s Poutinerie does it best. At last year’s Championship, Carmen Cincotti ate 20.25lb of Smoke’s Poutinerie Poutine in 10 minutes to claim the title. The world record in this discipline stands at 25.5lb; one Joey Chestnut set that record in 2016. Chestnut's record just might be on the line this coming October 13th.
