ESPER TAKES TACO TITLE!
Many people are saying that 2018 is the year of Geoff Esper, and well they should. The man from Oxford, MA, took the the 2018 edition of The Fresno Tacos World Taco-Eating Championship with a trademark display of controlled power-eating. He was clean and fast and remained in control for the duration of the contest. His final tally? Some 73 tacos in 8 minutes.
Matt Stonie would take second-place in the event for the second year running. No one is calling him the bridesmaid, and not the bride, of Fresno, because that would be stupid. Stonie ate 65 tacos and engaged in admirable sportsmanship at the end of the event, heartily congratulating Esper on the win. Others ate less.
