MoonPies, people, MoonPies! The Bass Pro Shops World MoonPie Eating Championship returns to Major League Eating's 2018 slate of sanctioned eating championships. Once more we shall return to the Bass Pro Shops at the Memphis Pyramid in beautiful Memphis, TN—the spiritual home of competitive MoonPie consumption. Major League Eaters from near and far are warmly encouraged to sign for their chance to compete in this signature (and delicious) event.
At the 2017 championship, Matt Stonie made it three wins in a row at this event by eating 73 MoonPies in eight minutes. He remains undefeated in this event and holds the world record of 85 MoonPies in eight minutes. That record will be on the line again this year.
