The Snowbird Bratwurst Eating Championship

Know this: There is no place like Snowbird, Utah, and there is no more perfect alpine setting in this great republic in which to enjoy bratwurst after bratwurst after bratwurst than the Snowbird Bratwurst Eating Championship. Major League Eating is proud to announce the return of this delicious event to our 2018 slate of sanctioned eating championships. And Major League Eaters are warmly encouraged to signup for a seat at the table.

The Championship will once again take place at Snowbird's legendary annual Oktoberfest celebration. The festival, which attracts over 60,000 visitors and was voted one of America's 10 Best Oktoberfests by Men's Journal Magazine, has grown to become one of the largest festivals in Utah.

At last year’s inaugural championship, Gideon Oji ate 34.5 4.5oz brats—a noticeably larger, thicker, bolder brat than has been previously used in sanctioned brat-eating championships—in 10 minutes for the win. Do you dream of besting Oji’s mark? Do you have what it takes to dine upon brat after brat over 10 minutes of competition? Do you simply want to see the best in the world do what they do so well. This is the 2018 Snowbird Bratwurst Eating Championship—at the table or in the crowd, don’t you ever miss it!
