Freirich Corned Beef & Cabbage

02-03-2004

The J. Freirich Company, which has been a leading provider of corned beef brisket for the better part of a century, will sponsor a Corned Beef & Cabbage Eating Contest at Moran.s Restaurant on March 16 to celebrate St. Patrick.s Day.

The contest, which will be held at Moran.s Restaurant at 146 10th Avenue at 19th Street in Manhattan, will include well-known and rookie eaters alike. In addition to Leon Justice Feingold and Krazy Kevin Lipsitz, some new names who will try their hand at corned beef will include Timothy Holden and Johnny Hon.

The 10-minute corned beef and cabbage event is expected to favor volume eaters. The beef and cabbage will be soft, but heavy, and capacity will likely be the determining factor. Registration via info@ifoce.com.
