Wing Kong takes Upper Crust Pizza Title

09-26-2009

In a closely contested affair that featured former Sox & Pats greats in Jim Corsi and Max Lane, Philly's own Micah "Wing Kong" Collins stole the show by consuming 20 slices of Upper Crust pizza for the win. In a questionable move, Collins rode into enemy territory sporting a Yankees t-shirt tot he dismay of the packed House of Blues crowd.

Pat "From Moonachie" Philbin finished just a half slice behind for second place while Crazy Legs Conti took third with 19 slices. Boston's own "Pretty Boy" Pete Davekos has to be a little upset he let the title slip away in his own back yard. Davekos finished in a tie for fourth place with Russ Keeler (17 slices). Allen "Shredder" Goldstein of Long Island finished in sixth with 16 slices.

The event was part of the Phantom Gourmet Food Festival which takes place outside Fenway Park. Full results will be posted on IFOCE.com shortly.
