RIBMANIA returns to Ribfest Chicago on Friday, June 10th

Major League Eating will take the stage at Ribfest Chicago for the second straight year in 2011 to host RIBMANIA on Friday, June 10th. The 8-minute Rib-Eating Championship will feature baby back pork ribs and a field of twelve Major League Eaters and local hopefuls. A cash purse of $2,100 will be on-the-line again at this year's RIBMANIA.

In last year's event, Pat Bertoletti - a native of Chicago's south side - ventured to the rival north side and ate 4.26 lbs of ribs to win the inaugural title and establishing a record in the short form rib discipline. Although north side fan favorite Gravy Brown was beaten, he has vowed to avenge the 2010 defeat in front of his hometown faithful.
