Dale Boone

Bib Sheet

Atlanta, GA
Age: 38
Weight: 303

Dale's tumultuous eating career began in 2002 on the Nathan's hot dog circuit, where he accumulated a disqualification and a regional win before hitting "The Deuce," (20 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes) in Coney Island. Boone followed this achievement by setting a new world record, 28 reindeer sausage in 12 minutes, in Anchorage, AK, later finishing a strong second in Alaska's Hibernation Cup Finals. A solid performance in cannoli and a victory in pelemeni secured his position as a force in eating. The 2003 season was filled with challenges for Boone, causing some to utter under their breath that Boone has a hair-trigger epiglotis. However, a win at the Ultimate Eating Tournment at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, S.C., quieted the talk, at least temporarily. But it was the 84 Lumber baked bean eating circuit that gave Boone the boost he needed, providing him with the platform for three wins against the sport's greats: Jarvis, Booker and Thomas. Boone has delivered few notable performances since. In fact, he fell to Carlene LeFevre in 2005's hotly contested Nathan's qualifier in Atlanta. Though rakishly handsome, Boone is not a married man. He distributes Hindu language feature films and claims to be a direct descendent of Daniel Boone. Boone has maintained a reputation as a combative competitor who has disrupted some eating events with verbal excess. He is not well liked.
